Candice went on her very first cruise to the Bahamas while she was on a family holiday in the US. She had no expectations, as the cruise was a surprise, booked by her aunt for the family. She fell in love with the whole cruise experience from day one, and one year later, she was happy to have stumbled upon a job working for a cruise company. She now has more than 10 years of experience in the cruise industry. Candice is proud to be a member of the Clean Cruising team, and she loves to share her knowledge and passion for cruising.
What is your favourite cruise destination you visited & why?
The Mediterranean—such an efficient way to see Europe! Every day you are in a beautiful new port, and there is so much variety of things to see and experience. From driving through lavender fields in the picturesque Marseille, to being amazed by the La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and cruising through to the stunning Amalfi Coast. You could do the same cruise again and have a completely different experience each time!
What is your favourite cruise ship & why?
Candice was lucky enough to have seen a variety of ships last cruise season. One that stood out to her was Celebrity Edge. Although she hasn't sailed on this ship (yet), she instantly loved it. She thought the ship was thoughtfully decorated, with the artwork and decor tastefully matching each room. She also loved how spacious and modern the ship was, and the Magic Carpet feature is very cool.
Favourite cruise tip you give your clients
Pre-book your shore excursions, the most popular ones often sell out even before the cruise starts and it is not always possible for new departures to be added. When you first get onboard, walk around the whole ship to get your bearings on where everything is located. Check the daily newsletter every day and do as much as you like or as little as you like. Your experience is completely up to you.
